Lagao 2nd Barrio Site Elementary School
Background
Lagao 2nd Barrio Site Elementary School in General Santos is home to a hefty number of 1,670 students. Due to this abundance of pupils, the school was bursting at the seams; there were only four classrooms for Grades 1, 2, 4, and 6. Even with the availability of these classrooms, they were still improvised using the eaves of other classrooms. There is one classroom solely dedicated to Grade 5 students, but even then it’s an unfinished one built through Brigada Eskwela in 2018. The school currently has 29 working classrooms, three of which were made possible through HOPE’s program.
