Background

Sunnies Studios has officially turned over its first two newly built public school classrooms at Muzon Elementary School in Alitagtag, Batangas—providing young learners with a safer and more inspiring space to learn.

Built in 1930, Muzon Elementary School currently serves 433 students from kindergarten to Grade 6. Over the years, many of its classrooms have fallen into disrepair, with cracked walls, collapsing roofs, and structures that have weakened due to age and frequent typhoons. One 75-year-old Marcos-type building is even set for demolition because of its deteriorating condition.

Despite these challenges, the school continues to use old and damaged classrooms simply because there is no available space for classes. The new classrooms funded by Sunnies Studios offer a much-needed upgrade—giving students a conducive environment to study safely and comfortably.

This turnover marks the first milestone in Sunnies’ pledge to fund 10 classrooms in partnership with HOPE’s Generation HOPE campaign, helping close the country’s classroom gap and investing in a brighter future for Filipino learners.
